Åkers Kronopark AB

AB Åkers Kronopark - Prudent Value Development

The company owns and manages a tract of land called Åkers Kronopark, covering approximately 6,000 hectares. Of this, roughly 4,500 hectares are productive forestland, where the company conducts a modern, commercial forestry operation involving the sale of both timber and pulpwood. At the same time, Åkers Kronopark is a popular nature destination, attracting sport fishermen, hikers, paddlers, ornithologists, geologists, and berry and mushroom enthusiasts. In tandem with its production in the commercial forestry operation – and value development of the forest holdings – the Group therefore strives to uphold the fine recreational opportunities that Kronopark offers.

Environmental aspirations in the forestry operation are highly developed. Since 2008 Åkers Kronopark has been certified according to the international Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC®) standard, which promotes environmentally adapted, socially responsible and economically vital use of the world's forests.

The company has certification via Holmen Skog AB according to both FSC® license number FSC-C009819 and PEFC™ and is committed to follow the standards set out in the certificates.
